I believe the Egyptian education system (Thanaweya Amma) is there to kill the spirit of our youth, and break them into demotivated, frustrated, hopeless young adults. Unknowingly, I think it’s turning them into ticking bombs as well.

I believe that our Minister of Education needs education all over again.

The way I see it, Facebook has turned some of us into mindless internet addicts, who think it’s socially brilliant! I think it’s socially criminal!

I believe Egyptian women do not need more empowerment, I believe Egyptian men should have less empowerment.

I think any man above 70 suffers some sort of mental disability, be it memory loss, dementia, etc. I believe our President is not fit for office.

I think the difference between our huge population and China’s, is that theirs matters.

I fear that bribery and false democracy in our government has translated into transparency.

Perhaps it’s just me, but I think the whole Olympic torch is way too much of a fuss.

I believe those who think traffic congestion in Egypt is a way to drive Egyptians to insanity, waste valuable hours of their day, every day, and send them home too exhausted to think of anything else, are spot on!

If the president’s son become the president, I don’t think anyone will do anything about it.

I think blogging has become a tool for poor writers to call themselves journalists, and for vain narcissistic characters to feed their ego.

I think there’s more democracy in sports, than in any government in the world.

I fail to understand why the US government can tell everyone else what to do.

I think religion has become not just the opium of the people, but their endless hypnosis session too.

I don’t think they will ever ban smoking in Egypt, because then people may pull a real demonstration.

It costs our government 15 piasters to produce the 10 piaster coin. Hmmmmmm

Sarah, your only problem is that you think too much. And you will soon be in trouble for that.

Seriously, the universal purpose of education is to use schooling to dilute learning.

Religion is the world greatest fraud. It is an idea of inventing the unkown to explain the unknown. More like those emails from unknown Nigerians telling you that you have won millions from an unknown lottery and now you just have to claim it by giving 10% of your lifesavings.

If your money is not expensive to make, everyone will print their own money rather than work for it.

I think they can ban smoking in Egypt. They just will not be able to stop people from smoking.

What can go wrong when the president’s son becomes president? Look at G.W. Bush. Wasn’t he impressive?

Rudolf, I must disagree with you. I don’t think there’s ever a thing such as thinking too much! The reason these things are on my mind, is because I live through them everyday. I can’t go and assume what you live through, and whether it’s worthy of your thoughts or not.

Over here, education is a topic spoke of everyday, some people kill themselves over the national exams that go on once a year and determine your the rest of your future. Exams are corrupt, smuggled out, and bought by the rich.

Religion is my country’s greatest method of control, we all follow one religion’s set of rules, and we’re all treated accordingly, that, in my opinion, can not be ignored.

The president’s son would not become a president by election, he would become one by succession, and urm, I wouldn’t exactly describe G.W Bush as impressive.

I’m glad you kept the article as simple as it can get. Its very rare nowadays to see anyhting put as bluntly as this.

Though I disagree with you on certain points (just a few), I fully agree with the intentions behind this article. If I’m not mistaken, its change that you seek. Don’t worry, you’ll get it eventually.. but gradually.

But then again, change is not the only thing thats important; one more thing is equally significant - to maintain and guard our preferences and dreams. Otherwise the change is irrelevant.
