Al Hussein Mosque is a beautiful mosque, which among Egyptians, is con-notated with peace, beauty, and blessings. It stands just outside the Khan El Khalili bazar, which is a market dazzling with colors and culture and vibrancy. It is where you’ll always find the most Egyptian of things, the most welcoming and smiling of faces, the most fun-loving spirits, the most Local foods and the most fun-having tourists.

Al Hussein Moque
Khan el Khalili is so old, so big, so crowded, so much fun, and in simple English, it’s such a big part of Egypt.
Now this bombing incident...what we know about it now for sure, is that a french young woman was unfortunately killed, while 24 others were wounded. No one knows who could have done it, no group of any sort has claimed responsibility, and unfortunately, not a lot of media attention is being targeted at it.
Now some people have voiced their conspiracy theories about how this is fishy, coming only days before the new, and rather permanent terrorism law is voted on, in replacement of the ever so current and unpopular emergency law in Egypt.
But the government is not that desperate i think. We can’t afford to hurt tourism, it’s pretty much the only thing we’ve got now, and even that, Dubai is taking from us!
I mean lets face it that law was going to pass anyway, like every other thing in this country, if the NDP (national democratic party, the ruling party) wants it, it goes. Which is another story for another time...but who would do this? really?
Religious extremists? Right by Al Hussein mosque, i mean come on...there are so many other places to bomb and so many other worthy personalities to try and kill...
Some crazy lune who just wants to hurt people? Hmm...
Some foreign conspiracy to turn some attention from a certain place to another? hmm...
Is it revenge? In lights of Egypt’s stance on foreign affairs lately?
Could it be an inside job with agendas we can’t even dream up?
Whatever it is, Egypt really can’t deal with this right now. Civil conflicts can not afford any catalysts...
Our foreign policy is fragile enough...our economy is messed up enough, and our tourism is shot to shit...
Really, this is the last thing we needed!!!! I’m sorry for the innocent life that got taken away in this ordeal...If any foreigners can hear me...we risk our lives here everyday, just crossing the street or taking our cars from a place to another, there’s pollution, crazy drivers, horrible traffic, unsanitary foods and mass depression, really, it’s not terrorism that will kill you in Egypt, so don’t let this scare you away, and if you’re thinking of coming to visit, don’t hesitate. Egypt is lovely in small dozes!
